Web design process

From first call to launch.

No spec sheet, no meetings, no payment up front. We talk, I research and build, you look at it and tell me what should change. You pay once you approve it, and after that I'm still here.

  1. Day 1

We get to know each other

Half an hour on video. You tell me what you have in mind, and I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person for it. Even if the answer turns out to be no.

  2. Days 1 to 2

    I advise, you decide

I walk you through my proposal: what your site needs to do, what it can do without, how big it gets and what it costs. You decide whether we go ahead.

  3. Days 2 to 3

    I do the research

Your industry, your competitors, your audience. What do people search for before they call you, and what do they find instead? After that I know what matters for you, not just what looks good in general.

  4. Days 3 to 4

    Structure and flow

Before anything gets pretty: which sections in which order, which question each of them answers, and at which point someone picks up the phone. It's the work you never see later, and without it nothing works.

  5. Days 4 to 6

    The design system

Colours, type, spacing and building blocks get decided and written down. That's why every page you add later fits in by itself, including the one you create two years from now.

  6. End of week 1

    I show you the design

You see your site for the first time: fully built, in the browser, with your content. Not a picture, not a presentation, but the site itself on your phone.

  7. As long as you like

    Rounds of changes

You tell me what should be different. I change it. As often as it takes. You only pay once you're happy, not before.

  8. Weeks 1 to 2

    The site goes live

Moving your domain or registering a new one, SSL, email addresses. For a relaunch the old site stays online in parallel and every old address redirects cleanly, so your Google rankings don't crash.

  9. On launch day

    You get your login

Your dashboard login arrives by email. If you like, I'll show you around in a short walkthrough; most of the time you won't need it, because it explains itself.

  10. From then on

    And then I stay

I don't disappear after launch. What you want to look after yourself, you look after yourself; what you want me to handle, you send me in the chat. Your site grows with your business instead of being rebuilt from scratch in three years.
