What I did
A book blog with an attitude: short, precise reviews instead of blurb prose. The site had to feel like a page from a literary review, and still be easy for one person to run on the side.
I built a blog with a shuffle recommendation, genre pages and partner links. Design and typography serve the reading: fast, calm, without blog clichés.
The heart of it is what's underneath: a dashboard through which reviews, covers and dates run without any technical knowledge. An editorial planner collects ideas and dates, and publishing takes one click. From draft to live page in minutes.
Today new reviews go out every week, written in the dashboard and live without anyone else lifting a finger.
